Directory Disclaimer

Last updated June 26, 2026

Our trainer directory exists to point you toward reward-based, force-free professionals. It is a starting point, not a stamp of approval.

A listing is not an endorsement

Including a trainer is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of their services, results, or conduct. We do our best to list professionals who work force-free, but we cannot vouch for any individual outcome, and we are not responsible for your experience with a trainer you find here.

How to read our verification tiers

Every listing shows plainly how far we checked it. We never display a higher tier than we actually performed.

  • Self-listed, force-free attested. The trainer added or claimed the listing and accepted our force-free code of conduct. We have not independently checked it yet.
  • Credential verified. We confirmed at least one accepted certification against the issuing body’s public record.
  • Manually reviewed. We reviewed the trainer’s public methods statement and confirmed a force-free approach.

You can read more about our process under how we vet trainers.

Interview a trainer yourself

Please talk to any trainer before you book. Ask how they handle mistakes, what happens when your dog gets something wrong, and what tools they use. A good force-free trainer will be happy to answer.

Found a problem?

If a listing is inaccurate, or a trainer is not working force-free, please tell us. We take that seriously and will look into it.
